How easy is access to the sea at Casa sulla Baia?
Sea access is direct but not flat. From the garden, a stairway leads down to the rocky shoreline. Because of the steps and different levels, the property is not suitable for guests with reduced mobility.

Are there restaurants, cafés or supermarkets near Casa sulla Baia?
Not within walking distance. The nearest restaurants, cafés and small shops are in Brucoli, about 7.5 km away. The first small supermarket is also in Brucoli, while larger supermarkets are about 10 km away towards Augusta. A car is recommended. A door-to-door bakery service is available in the morning.
Do I need a car to stay in Baia del Gambero and explore the area between Catania and Syracuse?
Yes. A rental car is strongly recommended for staying at Casa sulla Baia and visiting Costa Saracena, Brucoli, Augusta, Syracuse and the rest of eastern Sicily with ease.

What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 5:00 PM. Check-out is by 11:00 AM. Alternative arrangements may be considered when possible.
Is a security deposit required?
Yes. A refundable security deposit of €250 is required.
What is the tourist tax?
Tourist tax is €0.50 per person, per night. It is not included in the booking total and must be paid in cash on site at check-in. In Augusta, it applies from 1 April to 31 October, in accordance with the Municipality of Augusta tourist tax regulation.

Why is a rental agreement required?
Short-term rentals in Italy require a written contract in compliance with national legislation. The agreement is signed upon arrival.
